Stuffed Peppers

May is Celiac Awareness Month, so we wanted to create a recipe that can be enjoyed gluten-free! This stuffed pepper recipe is so simple and so delicious and of course, provides you with a healthy serving of Pirro's Sauce!


  • One 24 Oz. Jar of Pirro's Pesto Marinara Sauce
  • 4 Bell peppers
  • 1 Lb. Ground beef
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 White onion
  • 5-6 Cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Pepper
  • 3 cups Mozzarella
  • Parmesan to top
  • 4 Fresh basil leaves

Preheat oven to 400°. Dice whole onion, chop garlic and deseed peppers. In a large mixing bowl, place ground beef. Crack in eggs and mix together. Add in onion, garlic, salt, pepper, 2 cups mozzarella and mix. Pour 1/4 cup of Pirro’s Marinara Sauce into each pepper. Put 1/4 of ground beef mixture into each pepper. Top each with 1/4 cup mozzarella. Bake peppers for 30 minutes. Take out and top with a healthy amount of Pirro’s Marinara. Garnish with basil and top with Parmesan. Godere!
